| Netscape Messenger 4 Setup Instructions
- Open Netscape
- Find the menu at the top (File, Edit, View, etc...)
- Select EDIT and then PREFERENCES
- Double-click MAIL and NEWSGROUPS
- Click on IDENTITY and enter the following information
- Your Name: Enter your name (ex. Joe Q. Public).
- Email Address: Enter your e-mail address here. (ex. joeq@somedomain.com)
- Your Reply-to address: Enter your e-mail address here. (ex. joeq@somedomain.com)
- Click on MAIL SERVERS (on the left)
- Click on ADD and enter the following information
- Enter POP.FIRSLINK.COM as the name of your incoming (POP3) mail server.
- Your Server Type is a POP Server.
- Enter your account name. Please contact FirstLink if you do not have this information.
- Check the SAVE PASSWORD check box.
- Enter your password.
- Check the SAVE PASSWORD checkbox (optional).
- Click OK.
- Enter SMTP.FIRSTLINK.COM as the name of your outgoing (SMTP) mail server.
- Set your outgoing mail server username to the same username as your incoming mail server.
- When you send e-mail, you may be prompted to enter a password for the username you supplied. This should only occur the first time. After that, Netscape will save the password.
- Click the OK button to complete the setup.
